A Democrat Hog Roast (“Sausage with all the Trimmings”) is to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, 476 E, County Road 100S, Brownstown.
Invited guests include the party’s candidates on the ballot for the Nov. 5 General Election. They include Jennifer McCormick, governor; Terry Goodin, lieutenant governor; Tim Peck, 9th Congressional District; and Trish Whitcomb, state District 69 representative.
The public is invited to come and welcome those candidates for state and local offices.
The cost to attend is $25 per couple or $12 for a single ticket.
