Dear Friends,
I hope your Independence Day was filled with joy and celebration! As we continue enjoying this festive weekend, I want to share why this holiday holds such significance for me and our campaign.
Independence Day is more than fireworks and barbecues; it’s a powerful reminder of the freedoms we cherish and the ongoing work to protect them. The values we honor today—liberty, equality, and democracy—are the bedrock of my campaign for the Indiana House of Representatives.
Growing up with my father, Governor Ed Whitcomb, I learned firsthand the importance of these freedoms. His service in World War II and unwavering dedication to public service instilled in me a profound respect for our democratic principles. These lessons have shaped my journey and my commitment to serving Indiana.
Protecting Our Freedoms
Personal freedom is the cornerstone of a thriving democracy. I am dedicated to defending individual liberties, safeguarding privacy, and ensuring our government respects the rights of all citizens. Every Hoosier deserves to live without fear of their freedoms being compromised.
Caring for Today to Build a Better Tomorrow
Southern Indiana families face many challenges, and I am committed to fighting for affordable housing, access to quality healthcare, and support for mental health services. Investing in our people today lays the foundation for a brighter future. When our community is strong and healthy, everyone benefits.
Public Service is Not Self-Service
Public officials should serve the interests of the people, not powerful insiders. I refuse to accept gifts from lobbyists and am dedicated to ending the influence of special interests in politics. Transparency and integrity are at the heart of my campaign, and I will always prioritize the needs and voices of our community.
As we enjoy the festivities and fireworks, let’s also recommit ourselves to the work that lies ahead. Building a future where every Hoosier thrives requires all of us. Your support, whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word, is crucial to making this vision a reality.
Together, we can ensure that our freedoms are protected for generations to come.
Wishing you a joyful and meaningful 4th of July weekend!
Warm regards,
Trish
