Yesterday [06/20/2024] Dr. Jennifer McCormick, the Democratic candidate for governor, announced her running mate, Dr. Terry Goodin. I have known Terry for decades and believe he is a great choice. A lifelong Hoosier, he shares our values and way of life.

In 2021, President Biden appointed Terry State Director of USDA Rural Development for the State of Indiana. I worked with USDA Rural Development as a municipal adviser during the Obama years, so I know firsthand the important role it plays. As State Director, Terry's direction has built community assets and improved lives for Hoosiers in small towns and on farms all over Indiana.
Terry Goodin served in the Indiana House of Representatives for 20 years before his appointment by President Biden. He was Superintendent of Crothersville Schools for 24 years while he served in the legislature. Terry is a native of Austin, where he resides with his wife and three children and continues to raise beef cattle on his farm.
